Missions

Local

Not only do we emphasize reaching out to people in far-away lands, but we also focus many of our efforts on people in our own community at the same time.

One of the ways we reach out to our local community is through events like our weekly "Family Table" on Wednesday nights at the Wheeler Campus, which provides a hot meal, and some conversation with whoever wants to come and participate.

Another ministry is "Caring Closet" at our Menomonie campus, which provides gently-used clothing to those in need.  It is open each month on the first Saturday (10am-noon), and on the first Wednesday (5pm-7pm).

World-Wide

The Church of the Nazarene takes the great commission to heart.  We place a great deal of emphasis on world missions, and at certain times throughout the year, we focus specifically on raising awareness and support for various projects half a world away.

Physical & Spiritual Needs

Meeting the spiritual needs of individuals is only part of the job.  We must also meet physical needs.  From food to clothing, shelter and safe drinking water.  Our church has a compassionate spirit, as we support Nazarene Missions International (NMI) financially, we are involved in Work & Witness missions trips, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, and we continue to participate in efforts to aid others more locally.
